Man pleads guilty, sentenced to life without parole in Little Caesars murder trial
LEESBURG, Ga. – On September 8, 2025, Daquan Harris entered a guilty plea in Lee County Superior Court for the May 3, 2024, murder of his manager, Joseph “Joey” Dorminey.
Judge W. James Sizemore, Jr. sentenced Harris to life in prison without the possibility of parole following his plea. Evidence presented in court showed that Harris fatally shot Mr. Dorminey at the Little Caesars restaurant located at 1545 US-19, Ste. B, Leesburg, GA as he was closing the business and placing money in the store’s safe.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office extends our continued thoughts and prayers to the family, friends, and coworkers of Mr. Dorminey as justice has now been served in this case.
