Made in Lowndes Open Air Market to celebrate local talent as part of Lowndes County Bicentennial Celebration in Downtown Valdosta at Historic Lowndes County Courthouse Square

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Downtown Valdosta will come alive this weekend with the sights, sounds, and flavors of South Georgia craftsmanship. As part of the Lowndes County Bicentennial Celebration, the Made in Lowndes Open Air Market will take place Saturday, August 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Historic Lowndes County Courthouse Square.

The outdoor market will feature handcrafted goods, homegrown produce, and unique creations from local artists, growers, and makers, highlighting the region’s rich agricultural roots and creative talent. The event is proudly supported by Georgia Grown, showcasing products made right here in South Georgia. To add to the excitement, the first 100 visitors will receive a free commemorative Bicentennial tote bag.

Whether you’re shopping for fresh produce, one-of-a-kind gifts, or simply enjoying a stroll through downtown, the Made in Lowndes Open Air Market promises a fun, community-focused celebration of everything local.
