Lowndes Co. Sheriff’s Office asking for public’s assistance in locating two wanted ‘armed and dangerous’ suspects
LOWNDES Co., Ga. – The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is seeking public assistance in locating Javante Hunter and Madelyn Rogers, who are currently wanted in connection with the death of Damarcus Thomas.
On February 11, 2026, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 500 block of Myddleton Road in reference to an unresponsive male. The victim, identified as Damarcus Thomas, was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office responded and identified Madelyn Norris Rogers and Javante Jamal Hunter as the suspects in this case.
Rogers is described as a white female, approximately 5’ 05” 155 lbs., brown or black hair, and blue eyes. She has a butterfly tattoo on her neck and tattoos on her left arm and hand.
Hunter is described as a black male, approximately 5’ 09” 195 lbs., black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his right arm.
Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
