Lenox man in custody after he fled on foot, charged for terroristic threats & aggravated stalking in Colquitt County
LENOX, Ga. – At approximately 8:45 pm, Douglas Jones was apprehended at 266 Lott Street in Lenox after being tracked there by K-9’s of the Cook County Sheriffs Office and spotted by an alert citizen.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cook County Jail.
Sheriff Doug Hanks wishes to thank everyone for their assistance and cooperation in bringing this incident to a conclusion.
The Cook County Sheriffs Office and the City of Lenox Police Department is actively searching for a subject who ran earlier this evening from the Lenox Police.
The subject is identified as Douglas Jones of a Gray Street, Lenox address. He is a white male 5’11 and weighing 195 pounds.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a collared shirt.
He is wanted for warrants in Colquitt County charging him with Terroristic Threats and Aggravated Stalking.
He fled on foot from his residence from a Lenox Police Officer who was attempting to arrest him on the active warrants.
Jones is not believed to be armed but any contact with him the public is asked to call 911 immediately.
There is currently a heavy law enforcement presence in the Lenox area searching for Jones.
