Legacy Village Job Fair in Tifton

TIFTON, Ga. – “We are hosting a job fair to hopefully find a larger pool of people or individuals to choose from that we think are going to best fit what we’re looking here for at Legacy,” Alana Sirmans, Executive Director of Legacy Village.

But, what type of people is Legacy Village looking for?

“Here our goal is to find those individuals that treat residents like that’s their family and how they would want their family treated,” said Sirmans.

These traits are important to the staff at Legacy Village, because…

“We are a memory care and we’re a personal care home, we cater to Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and our memory care,” said Becky Ballas, Regional Director of Operations.

Legacy Village’s goal for it’s residents is…

“To help keep them from having to continue to go to the doctor so we can monitor them, but monitor them in a fashion that keeps them independent,” said Sirmans.

Legacy Village also is trying to end the stigma of nursing homes as well.

“People like to think, oh I don’t want my momma moving into a nursing home it’s far from it, this is your home away from home,” said Ballas.
