Lee County Rivers Alive Annual Waterway Cleanup event happening this Saturday
LEESBURG, Ga. – If you’re looking for a way to give back and help the environment, Lee County has an opportunity just for you! The annual Lee County Rivers Alive Annual Waterway Cleanup is happening Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hosted by Lee County Code Enforcement, this volunteer event helps clean up local creeks and waterways. Volunteers can help by land or by water… Canoe, kayak, or boat required if working from the water. There will also be land cleanup near the bridge and boat ramp. Participants receive a free t-shirt, gloves, and trash bags while supplies last. Children under 16 must be with an adult, and all volunteers must sign a liability waiver.
