Lee Co. man arrested on outstanding felony warrants, drug charges
Roberts remains in the Lee County Jail. Additional arrests in this case are pending.
LEESBURG, Ga. – On June 6th at approximately 9:55 a.m., deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division and Narcotics Investigation Division assisted the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Albany Police Department Gang Task Force with the service of outstanding arrest warrants on Rico Omar Roberts.
Roberts had multiple outstanding arrest warrants in Lee county and Dougherty county for felony offenses. He was located inside an apartment in the Creekwood Apartments complex at 1578 U.S. Highway 19 South in Lee county. He was taken into custody without incident and deputies transported him to the Lee County jail for processing.
During this operation, Roberts was found to be in possession of approximately 2 pounds of marijuana, packaging materials, a digital scale, and two loaded firearms.
In addition to the outstanding arrest warrants, Roberts was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, 2 counts possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and possession of a knife or firearm during the commission of a crime.
Roberts remains in the Lee County Jail. Additional arrests in this case are pending.
