Jimmy Carter is ‘doing okay’ but ‘nearing the end,’ grandson says

PLAINS, Ga. – The former president is reportedly, quote, ‘doing okay’ but ‘nearing the end’ of his ‘Faith journey.’ That’s according to Jason Carter, the 39th President’s grandson.

Jason Carter recently visited his grandfather at his residence in Plains, where they spent time together watching an Atlanta Braves game. The 99-year-old Former President entered hospice care in February of 2023.

On Tuesday, Jason Carter delivered a speech at the Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum, marking the first occurrence of the annual event since the passing of the Former First Lady in November.
