Increased Law Enforcement Presence at Crisp County Schools
CORDELE, Ga. – “This week, we met with the Crisp County School Board to address the recent threats made against schools, including Friday’s threats and those at the middle school on Monday. These incidents are part of a broader pattern of threats seen across Georgia,” said Crisp Co. Sheriff’s Office.
“While none of the threats we investigated have been deemed credible, our top priority remains the safety of our community’s children. To ensure this, we have pledged additional officers to our schools given recent events. We are also increasing manpower and security measures, particularly for events that allow public access to school grounds, where individuals who are not normally present may attend,” the sheriff’s office said.
“Out of an abundance of caution, you will notice an increased law enforcement presence at Crisp County Schools. The safety of our children is nonnegotiable, and we are committed to ensuring their protection at all times,” the sheriff’s office said.
