Stars and Stripes reporter: ‘Shocked. My comments were in line’

A top reporter at the military newspaper Stars and Stripes says she was fired after several articles and a CBS News interview on the harsh conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Lara Korte is one of three who were let go after the Pentagon deemed their reporting “insubordination.” She says her initial reaction was for the military and military families who trust her and other military journalists with their stories.
