Iran’s Strait of Hormuz ‘service fees’ risk setting dangerous global precedent

Lloyd’s List Intelligence says Iran has already begun charging vessels what it describes as service fees for transiting the Strait of Hormuz, but warns any formal tolling system would require broader regional agreement and could create a dangerous precedent for maritime chokepoints worldwide.
