5 DEAD, 5 INJURED IN AMAZON CARGO PLANE CRASH

At least five people are dead after an Amazon cargo aircraft overran the runway and struck multiple vehicles during a landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon. Five others were injured in the crash, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Raied Jadallah said during a news conference Sunday evening. Several of the victims were trapped in the vehicles that were hit by the plane and had to be extricated, Jadallah said. It’s not clear whether the victims who died were on the plane or on the ground or why the plane was unable to stop.
