Hundreds of runners participate in 19th annual COMBOS® Marathon
ALBANY, Ga. – In other local news, plenty of people were up bright and early this past weekend in Albany for the 19th annual COMBOS® Marathon.
Hundreds took their mark outside the Albany Civic Center downtown as they took part in the 22 and a half mile run, through the Good Life City.
We got a chance to speak with a few of the runners before the big race.
Here’s what they had to say…
“I’m super pumped. I’ve been training for a while and this is my second ever marathon; first was in September. So, I’m happy to run through my hometown,” said Will Tomlinson, Leesburg.
“I’ve run it twice before and it’s just an awesome race. I mean, the crowd support is really good. The race course is great. I just enjoy being here,” said Tiffany Brantley, Eastman.
“We heard it’s a great course to run. We’re really excited about running through the town,” said Brandi Streetman, Auburn.
“And, supporting the cause as well as running for COMBOS®,” said Joffery Gaymon, Auburn.
It was said that more than 850 people took part in this year’s marathon.
