Homicide investigation underway in the 500 block of W 1st Ave

The victim, Rasheed Canty (46) succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was identified as Tramoski Franklin Jr (24). Franklin was charged with murder and taken to the Dougherty County Jail. Other charges are pending.

ALBANY, Ga. – According to a press release from the Albany Police Department, on June 6, 2023, officers responded to 514 W 1st Avenue in reference to a shooting.

The victim, Rasheed Canty (46) succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect was identified as Tramoski Franklin Jr. (24).

Franklin was charged with murder and taken to the Dougherty County Jail. Other charges are pending.
