Homicide case in the 200 Block of Monarch Drive

ALBANY, Ga. – On April 9, 2024, at approximately 4:36pm, officers responded to the 200 Block of Monarch Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Emonyei Ward, 20, laying in the front yard, deceased from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Investigators are currently following up on leads.
