Holly Jolly Toy Drive spreads holiday cheer

ALBANY, Ga. – After weeks of collecting donations, our very own CBS 44 News Reporter De’Andra Jacobs held a toy drive for underprivileged children in Albany.

On Saturday, she and some members of the CBS 44 team distributed over 100 toys, including bikes, skateboards, and scooters, to families in need.

In addition to the toy giveaways, attendees had the chance to participate in a raffle where they could win a free bike, skateboard, or scooter.

We had the opportunity to speak with a few of the raffle winners, who shared their how their holidays were brightened by the generous gifts they received from Holly Jolly Toy Drive.

“I just love it. I’m so happy. And, thank y’all, just thank you,” said Sabrina Watson, grandparent.

“There’s no words I can say because everybody needs help during the Christmas time. So they came, the event came right on time,” said Helen Wilkes, parent.

The success of the Holly Jolly Toy Drive is a testament to the strength and generosity of the local community.
