Historical Awards Committee of Cordele provides holiday gifts to residents at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
CORDELE, Ga. – The Historical Awards Committee of Cordele demonstrate unity through a heartwarming act of generosity for the holidays.
The Cordele Historical Award Committee extend the holiday season’s festive spirit by generously providing holiday gifts to residents at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Greg Rivers, Secretary of the Cordele Historical Awards Committee, sheds light on the committee’s benevolent initiative.
“This year for Christmas, we decided to give them a Christmas bag with items in it for each resident. So, we have been doing this for about four years now. Donating some socks for the residents; puzzles, some body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, and snacks for bingo game winners,” said Greg Rivers, Secretary, Cordele Historical Awards Committee.
Lashonda Merrell, the activity director for Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab Center, shares insights on the meaningful impact of holiday generosity toward the facility.
“It was a very joyful experience for the community to come out and donate. Took their time out to think about our residents and show concern. It makes me feel wonderful to know that someone out there cares about our residents,” said Lashona Merrell, Activity Director, Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
“Merry Christmas everybody!” said the Historical Awards Committee of Cordele.
