Henry Mathis runs for mayor; former Albany city commissioner shares campaign vision
ALBANY, Ga. – In a follow up to a story we brought you late last week, we were able to speak with an Albany mayoral candidate we had previously been unable to reach.
We met with mayoral candidate, Henry Mathis Tuesday afternoon to discuss his campaign platform.
Mathis, a former Albany city commissioner is once again running for mayor.
He believes that his previous body of work in the Albany government makes him the man for the job and wants to hear out the individual city commissioners as his first order of business, should he be elected.
“…I’ve learned a lot. Through some tough times, but today, I’m a better man than I was yesterday. And our city faces many challenges…and as mayor, that’s my goal. To work with the commissioners, to work with the community, and bring together a comprehensive plan that will address the needs of the city,” said Henry Mathis, mayoral candidate.
