Helping Mamas local nonprofit organization urges donations for baby essentials

ALBANY, Ga. – Over in the Good Life City, one local group is asking for physical donations through the end of the month.

Helping Mamas, an nonprofit organization geared towards providing new parents with disposables like diapers and formula, are asking for donations when it comes to those supplies.

Director of Engagement, Patrice Williams, shared this afternoon that their shelves are nearly empty after distributing most of their supplies throughout the year.

She spoke with us about ensuring they can continue assisting young parents in need.

“Since as of today, we have served over 4,700 clients and we have distributed over 105,000 diapers. So, it’s telling a story that there is a huge need and we are definitely running low on diapers. And, so, we want to continue our initiative to serve our family and our babies, changing our community one diaper at a time,” said Patrice Williams, Director of Engagement, Helping Mamas.

Helping Mamas will be accepting physical donations next Saturday, September 28th, from 12 to 2 p.m. at their office, located at 1301 Dawson Road in Albany.
