Hands and Hearts for Horses to host Volunteers Orientation & Training session in Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – As the new year begins, Hands and Hearts for Horses is inviting both new and returning volunteers to take part in a Volunteer Orientation and Training session on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

The orientation will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the organization’s facility located at 3824 Lower Cairo Road and is open to anyone interested in volunteering. The session is designed to introduce participants to the mission of Hands and Hearts for Horses and provide essential training for those supporting its therapeutic riding program.

Volunteers will learn safety guidelines, general operating procedures, and how to assist riders and horses during lessons as leaders or sidewalkers. Returning volunteers are also encouraged to attend for refresher training, updates, and an opportunity to reconnect as the program heads into 2026.

Hands and Hearts for Horses says volunteers play a vital role in making its work possible, helping deliver the benefits of therapeutic riding and equine activities to individuals throughout the community.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP and complete a volunteer application online, available here. Additional information about volunteering and registration can be found at handsandheartsforhorses.com.
