Governor Kemp Issues Executive Order on Cordele City Commissioner Royce Reeves
CORDELE, Ga. – Governor Brian Kemp has issued an executive order regarding Cordele City Commissioner Royce Reeves after his indictment on several serious charges, including violations of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and drug-related offenses.
The order sets up a review commission to assess the charges and determine if they impact Reeves’ ability to serve as Vice Chairman of the City Commission. This is required by state law when public officials face major criminal charges.
The Commission will advise Governor Kemp on what actions should be taken next regarding Reeves’ position. For more detailed information, you can refer to the official executive order issued by Governor Kemp at Georgia.Gov.
