GDOT: “Doerun” section of SR 133 widening/reconstruction project

DOERUN, Ga. – You can expect to see some pre-construction activities in coming months on SR 133 from north of Mike Horne Road in Colquitt Co to north of the Worth Co line. Nothing that should impact traffic right away. This is the long-awaited “Doerun” section of the SR 133 widening/reconstruction projects. There will be one-way pairs through downtown and a roundabout on each end. The approximately $39 million construction contract was awarded to Griffin Grading & Concrete LLC and currently has a completion date in late summer 2028.

The original design was to have SR 133 bypass Doerun. However, city officials changed their minds and it was redesigned to travel through Doerun.
