GDOT: Atkinson Co. portion of SR 135 closing temporarily for pavement repair

ATKINSON Co., Ga. – What: A Georgia Department of Transportation contractor has scheduled a temporarily closure of a portion of State Route 135 next month in order to repair the pavement.

Where: SR 135 from the Berrien/Atkinson County line at the Alapaha River bridge to mile marker 1.20, which is just south of Springhead Church Road. Detour routes will be SR 76, SR 11 and SR 520.

When: Scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 4 and expected to reopen no later than Sunday, Aug. 10.
