GBI, Brooks County Sheriff’s Office assist in double murder investigation
QUITMAN, Ga. – On Friday at around 9:40 a.m., the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office found two females murdered with gunshot wounds inside a home on Shiver Lane in Quitman.
Deputies were able to identify the two women as 48-year-old Tamiko Mobley, and her daughter, 25-year-old Tiaja Mobley. A male victim was also found without any fatal injuries.
The Quitman Police Department arrested Tamiko’s husband and Tiaja’s father, 44-year-old Wilbert Mobley Jr. He was taken to the Brooks County Jail, and charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm.
