Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home centennial celebration of continuous service with “Taking Care of Business: Leaving a Lasting Legacy of Impact” free community educational event in Tifton this Sunday
TIFTON, Ga. – A century of service is worth celebrating, and one local business is honoring that milestone by giving back in a meaningful way. Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home is inviting the community to a free educational event, “Taking Care of Business: Leaving a Lasting Legacy of Impact,” on Sunday, October 12, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tift County Neighborhood Service Center, located at 2737 S. Central Avenue in Tifton.
Part of the funeral home’s 100th anniversary celebration, the event is designed to help families plan for the future and protect what matters most. Attendees will learn how to safeguard their homes and assets, understand important legal documents like wills and powers of attorney, navigate issues surrounding heir property, and explore the importance of insurance.
The program will feature presentations from Solomon Nixon Jr., longtime funeral director, licensed insurance agent, and community leader with more than 30 years of experience, and Attorney Sharon P. Nixon of The Nixon Law Firm, who brings more than 25 years of legal expertise in Georgia and Florida.
Guests will also enjoy a light meal and have the chance to participate in giveaways during the event.
This centennial celebration is hosted in partnership with Commissioner Donnie Hester (District 1) and Commissioner Melissa Hughes (District 2).
The event is free and open to the public, and organizers encourage families to attend together to learn how to leave a strong legacy for future generations.
