Flint River Fresh to host “U-Plant Before U-Pick” Field Day in the 5th Avenue Community Garden
ALBANY, Ga. – Join Flint River Fresh this Saturday at the 5th Avenue Community Garden to kick-off the fall season with some fun and fresh harvest!
The “U-Plant Before U-Pick” Field Day event invites the community to roll up their sleeves for a hands-on day of planting, learning, and fun.
Whether you have a green thumb or you’re just getting started, you’re invited to team up with the garden crew to plant fall crops in raised beds and open fields, while learning professional advice for growing a successful fall garden.
Attendees will also take home plants and soil to kick-start their own home gardens.
But, it’s not all dirt and crops! Families can join in on lively activities, like three-legged races, cornhole, and a classic tug-of-war.
The event runs from 11 am to 3 pm. Come for the gardening knowledge, stay for the fun, and help usher in the fall season in style!
The event will be held at the 5th Avenue Community Gardens, located at 208 5th Avenue in Albany.
