Harry Day, Regional Director of Partnerships for the Flint River Entertainment Complex, provides insight into the holiday celebration.

“We wanted to do something that revolved around the holidays, so we came up with this event. This is the third year that we’re doing this, but really CBS 44 and Smile Doctors sponsor this event, allowing us to make it free to the public. So, we definitely appreciate their support. The movie will start at 7:15, but we have activities and pictures with Santa starting at 6. We look forward to this event. For the past two years it’s been completely full in here. We actually, last year, had to turn some people away. So, we’ll also have ornament decorating, a hot chocolate station, and all of that is free. We will have concessions inside where you will have to pay for it, but everything else is free,” said Harry Day, Flint River Entertainment Complex, Regional Director of Partnerships.

“So, we really focus on community. Just even outside of our ticketed events, we want to provide stuff that is free to the public. So, we do a lot of those different types of events throughout the years, Fridays on the Flint is an example of that. Really, why we are here is to enhance just a mantra of “The Good Life City.” So, we really want to bring things here that just supports the community, that uplifts the community, and gives people something to do to be entertained, to that live, work, and play,” said Day.
