Fire Ant Festival Carnival Shooting Incident

ASHBURN, GA – In Ashburn, police officers were investigating the theft of a stuffed animal from one of the games at the Fire Ant Festival carnival.

Several individuals ran when officers approached the scene, and a few moments later, shots were fired.

Officers witnessed the shooting and took the suspect into custody.

Two other juveniles were detained for interfering with officers – they were released into the custody of their mother.
