Fiery crash closes all lanes of I-75 in Dooly County

DOOLY Co., Ga – At approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, a fiery crash involving a semi-truck/tractor-trailer in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Exit 112 before State Route 27.

All lanes of I-75 are closed at this time as officials clean up the scene.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), traffic is expected to begin flowing again at about 7 p.m.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and put out the fire by 6 p.m. according to bystanders at the scene.

Motorists and drivers in the area are urged to slow down, expect delays and use caution when approaching this area, or avoid the area if possible.
