Festive holiday celebrations at A&M Farms for all ages in Sylvester
SYLVESTER, Ga. – Christmas is a celebration of togetherness, no matter the place but surprisingly it can take place on a farm too as A&M Farms gave children a celebration they’ll never forget.
“Back in 2019 we opened up A&M Farms, and we opened in the fall, and we decided this Christmas just to open during a weekday when kids are out of school to give families some extra time to spend together,” said Brittany Young, Part owner of A&M Farms.
But, why have this event on a farm???
“Animals are really good for people, you know they bring a lot therapy you know kids that maybe need to interact with them, their able to touch them, their able to feed them,” said Young.
A&M Farms also went through the process of adopting and rescuing a percentage of their animals.
“A lot of our animals were rescued animals or animals that, people had showed like pigs trying to retire them, but our farm liked them, so we took them in,” said Heather Pritchard, Owner, A&M Farms.
But, besides animals, A&M Farms offered multiple ways of enjoying this festive season…
“We have a fort with multiple swings on it, they have slides, we have a big fun slide the kids can go down we have ziplines, rock climbing walls, slingshots,” said Pritchard.
Pritchard tells me that early childhood memories inspired this festive event.
“Christmas is pretty important to us as a family, my family we’re just together and doing things together outside, being with one another,” said Pritchard.
A&M Farms wants families to remember one thing.
“Just enjoy the time together and they all have a Merry Christmas,” said Young.
