ALBANY, GA- This weekend the Exchange Club of Albany is hosting their third annual car show.
Saturday, April 15th, the Exchange Club Fairgrounds are expected to be filled with hundreds of cars from all over the country.
“We’ll actually have a car show event where they are actually where they’re actually graded on point system and awarded trophies. Then we have cars on display, cars on sale, we have parts and pieces and other stuff that’s for sale at our swap meet,” said Ralph Paustian, Vice President of Fairboard, Exchange Club of Albany.
Paustian explained they are expecting 150 to 200 cars by Saturday morning and encourages the public to attend.
“We wanted to try to put something together for the whole family. We hope the public comes to come look at some of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen will have cars ranging from $5000 to about $1 million cars” Paustian said.
A $10 ticket includes access to the car show, arts and crafts, local vendors and the grapevine band who will perform from 1 to 5.
There will also be $100 given away to a lucky ticket buyer every hour from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Not only is the car show a family event for families, but every purchase also supports a good cause.
“From the spots that we rent, to the church to the tickets to everything majority of that goes to the prevention of child abuse. Will give to Open Arms Liberty House, we give to some educational programs for kids, youth programs, stuff like that,” said Paustian.
However, if safety is a concern, Paustian said there is no need to fear.
“We got we got police here on grounds 24 hours a day starting today, Friday, Saturday and all day Sunday until the last car leaves. We’ll have the sheriff’s department and will also have in-house security that’ll be on the grounds 24 hours,” he explained.
