Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce hosts annual Blessing of the Crops on Friday
DOUGLAS, Ga. – Farmers and supporters of agriculture are invited to gather for a meaningful local tradition as the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Blessing of the Crops on Friday, February 27.
The event will take place at the C.E. Weir Center, located at 307 East Bryan Street in Douglas, with breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. A short program will follow, featuring a keynote speaker and a circle of prayer focused on gratitude and a successful farming season ahead.
Organizers say the Blessing of the Crops is a time for reflection, fellowship, and support for the agricultural community, which plays a vital role in the region’s economy and heritage. The event is held rain or shine.
The gathering is free and open to the public, but seating is limited, and an RSVP is required. Early registration is encouraged, as the event often reaches capacity.
