Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office to host annual “Building Unity in the Community” Barbecue at Riverfront Park this Saturday
ALBANY, Ga. – The Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) is firing up the grill and inviting everyone to join them for their annual “Building Unity in the Community” Barbecue this weekend.
The free event is designed to bring neighbors together while strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the community they serve. Guests can look forward to fresh barbecue, fun games for kids, and resources to help connect families with local services.
This year’s celebration will also honor newly elected Sheriff Terron Hayes, making the gathering especially meaningful. Organizers expect more than 500 people to attend.
The barbecue will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riverfront Park, located at 112 North Front Street in Albany. Families, friends, and community members are encouraged to come out and enjoy food, fellowship, and fun.
