Dougherty County Public Library Launches “Library on Wheels”: A High-Tech Mobile Hub for All Generations
ALBANY, GA — The Dougherty County Public Library is proud to announce the official launch of its newest community resource: the “Library on Wheels.” This state-of-the-art mobile branch is designed to bring the library’s most vital resources directly into neighborhoods, making it easier than ever for residents of all ages to access the tools they need for professional, academic, and personal success.
The community is invited to celebrate this milestone at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, February 23, 2026. The event will take place at the Government Center, 222 Pine Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31701 at 11:30 AM. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the vehicle, meet the outreach staff, and see the onboard technology in action.
