ALBANY, Ga. — Dougherty County is now accepting 2025 property tax payments, and the Dougherty County Tax Collections and Tags Office will extend office hours beginning today through Jan. 2, 2026, to better accommodate taxpayers.

The extended hours are intended to assist residents who wish to submit payments before the end of the calendar year and apply them as a 2025 federal income tax deduction. The temporary schedule adjustment is designed to increase accessibility and reduce wait times during this high-volume period.

Taxpayers are encouraged to plan accordingly and contact the Tax Collections and Tags Office with questions regarding payment methods, office hours or account information.
