Dougherty Co. Health Dept. and Southwest Health District’s Car Seat Mini Grant
ALBANY, Ga. – The Dougherty County Health Department has announced the availability of its Car Seat Mini Grant Program.
Strap in, parents! Families in Dougherty county can now benefit from the Car Seat Mini Grant Program, made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Southwest Health District and its partners.
The Dougherty County Health Department, located at 1710 South Slappey Boulevard, is offering this program to help families ensure their children’s safety while traveling in motor vehicles.
Funded by the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Injury Prevention Program, the Car Seat Mini Grant Program aims to provide car seats and education to financially eligible families across several counties in the Southwest Health District, including Dougherty county.
The program offers education on proper car seat installation and usage, conducts car seat inspections, and supplies car seats and booster seats to those in need. Extending its reach to support more than 113 counties in Georgia, this initiative ensures that families receive the necessary resources to secure their children safely in vehicles.
