Dougherty Co. Coroner’s Office confirms identification of remains of Darrious Stephens
ALBANY, Ga. – We begin tonight with a late breaking update to an investigation from earlier this spring.
As we were coming on the air tonight, CBS 44 has learned that the Dougherty County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the recovery of the body of Darrious Stephens.
Fowler contacted our newsroom a short while ago to confirm that the dental records of the body recovered were a match for Stephens’.
Stephens had originally gone missing collecting water samples from the Flint River during a heavy rain storm in February, and his body was discovered south of Punk’s Landing in early March.
