Dougherty Co. Commission holds ‘Operation Greenlight’ Veterans Proclamation

ALBANY, Ga. – With Veterans Day happening later this week, Dougherty county is shining a light to honor local veterans.

During Monday Morning’s County Commission Meeting, a proclamation was made with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) for Operation Greenlight.

The initiative is to shine a green light in the entryway of homes and businesses as a show of thanks to veterans for their service.

We managed to catch up with one local veteran about being thanked for his service decades later.

Operation Greenlight runs through Sunday, November 12th.
