Dougherty Co. Board of Elections first day for requesting early absentee voting ballots

ALBANY, Ga. – Election day may be a couple of months away, but voting is already getting underway in some areas.

The Dougherty County Board of Elections has announced that absentee ballot requests will be available starting today.

Elections Supervisor Ginger Nickerson says these absentee ballots will be offered through October 25th.

Nickerson spoke with us about the importance of spreading the word about the ballots now.

Ballots can be requested through the Georgia Secretary of State’s website.
