Critical missing man found safe after missing for 9 days, APD says

ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Police Department (APD) has confirmed that a critical missing person has been found safely.

Joseph Lee Turner had reportedly been missing for 9 days after he was dropped off in Albany on August 4th by the Thomasville Crisis Center (Georgia Pines), transferred to the Albany Rescue Mission, then later said to have been sent to the Salvation Army. Both locations confirmed he never checked in.

Turner has dementia and severe behavioral health issues.

APD says Turner was located safely at Aspire (601 11th Ave) around 10:45 P.M. late Wednesday evening.
