Crisp Co. traffic stop leads to drug arrest

CORDELE, Ga. – On October 31, 2025, around 10:30 p.m., a Crisp County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a silver SUV after observing it speeding and failing to stop at multiple intersections. The driver refused to yield, leading deputies on a short pursuit through several city streets before stopping near West 3rd Avenue.

Deputies detained a 30-year-old male from Pitts, GA, identified as Larry Lindsey, and located approximately 29 grams of suspected methamphetamine, suspected MDMA (Ecstasy), and a nitrous oxide tank inside the vehicle.

Additional drug-related items and ammunition were also recovered.

Lindsey was arrested and transported to the Crisp County Jail, where he faces the following charges:

* Trafficking in Cocaine, Marijuana, or Methamphetamine

* Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance (MDMA)

* Sale, Distribution, or Possession of Dangerous Drugs

The Georgia State Patrol and the Mid-South Narcotics Task Force assisted in the investigation, which is still ongoing.
