Crisp Co. Superior Court finds man guilty of vehicular homicide in 2019 hit & run case

CORDELE, Ga. – In Crisp County Superior Court, a Crisp County Jury found Travis Leon Waters guilty of Vehicular Homicide in the First Degree, Hit and Run, and Failure to Report an Accident.

The four-day jury trial was presented before the honorable Judge Denise Fachini. Waters was sentenced to 20 years in prison with 15 to serve.

The conviction was the result of a September 8th, 2019 accident on Joe Wright Drive that resulted in the death of a pedestrian, Ethelene Lewis.
