Crisp Co. Sheriff’s Office locate missing critical elderly woman
CORDELE, Ga. – On Thursday, February 19, 2026 at approximately 8:06 p.m., the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office reported that Rachel Corine Fussell, who was reported missing earlier in the day, has been safely located.
According to officials, Fussell was found not far from the location where she was last seen leaving earlier yesterday afternoon. Upon being found, she was evaluated by emergency medical services.
Authorities expressed appreciation to community members who assisted in the search effort, including citizens who transported officials through fields and other areas that were difficult to access on foot. Officials also thanked those who shared information about the case.
Fussell, 81, was last seen around 2 p.m. leaving 320 Old Tremont Road.
She was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She was reportedly wearing red and green pajamas at the time.
Authorities noted she has Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and a pacemaker.
