Crisp Co. Sheriff’s Office announces Procession, First Responder Escort, and Final Interment Details of Fallen Deputy Tyee Browne

Deputy Tyee Brown EOW: July 5, 2023 South Georgia Television will present a complete, unedited interview with Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock in our CBS 44 Midday News on Monday.

CORDELE, Ga. – The funeral service for Deputy Tyee Browne will be at 2 p.m. Monday July 10th at the Crisp County Middle School Auditorium. The family will receive friends, Crisp County Sheriff’s Office family and loved ones from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday, July 9th at Hughes and Wright Funeral Home.

The procession bearing Deputy Browne will depart Hughes & Wright Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. and proceed along Pecan Street to the Crisp County Middle School Auditorium.

The first responder procession will depart Cordele Lions Club and proceed north on 7th Street to 16th Avenue, then proceed east to Pecan Street, then south on Pecan Street to the Crisp County Middle School.

Following the service, Deputy Browne will be returned to Hughes & Wright Funeral Home, leaving the auditorium at approximately 3:15 p.m. and proceeding south on Pecan Street.

The public will be invited and encouraged to line the route to honor Deputy Browne and his family, both personal and law enforcement.
