Crisp Co. 4-H annual awards banquet
CORDELE, Ga. – The Crisp County 4-H Club hosted its annual awards banquet in Cordele last night, celebrating the achievements and community contributions of its outstanding members.
The event was filled with many familiar faces, all gathered to honor the stars of 4-H for their hard work and dedication.
One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the prestigious Citizenship-Leadership Award, named in honor of longtime Crisp County Extension Agent, Goodwin Nix.
This year, Luke Bartlett was proudly recognized as the recipient of the Goodwin Nix award, celebrating his exceptional leadership and commitment to service.
“And, the 2024 Goodwin Nix winner is Mr. Luke Bartlett. Luke is currently serving as our Vice President of the County Senior Board of Directors. He is a certified team leader and has helped with many clover leaf events. He’s competing in outdoor recreation project, year project achievement, where he received first place and advances to state level at State Congress. Luke has been a member of the forestry judging team for the past six years and has excelled in all areas. He is an exceptional young man and shows great leadership skills. Congratulations, Luke,” said Janie Wright, 4-H Program Assistant.
The night was a true reflection of the spirit and values that 4-H instills in its members.
