Crisp Area Arts Alliance and Gallery 41 host Crisp Co. High School Senior Art Exhibit
CORDELE, Ga. – Tuesday night marked the eagerly anticipated annual exhibit for young talent as Crisp County High School seniors took center stage at Gallery 41 in Cordele.
With a diverse array of artistic mediums at their disposal, seniors were empowered to exhibit a wide spectrum of their creations, spanning from captivating paintings to intricate ceramics and expressive fiber arts.
The event was made even more captivating by the presence of several seniors who interacted with visitors, sharing insights into their exhibits and revealing the inspirations driving their creative pursuits.
“It makes me feel accomplished, but it also makes me proud. I’m able to show what my passion is. If someone feels like they can’t do something, it’s because that’s their own thought. But, other people will see their potential before they see their potential themselves first. It depends on their outlook, but as long as someone else believes in them, most of the time they can… You can do anything if you try hard enough,” said Tim Minchew, Crisp Co. High School Senior.
“I just, you know, we worked very hard on all of our artwork, so I thought that showing off all of my pieces, it gives me like, you know, I’m happy to see other people react. I was over here saying, like, I wasn’t proud of any of it, but she’s over here, like, yeah, that’s awesome. Like, you did good, you know? I feel like if you want to express yourself, it’s a good way to go,” said Tiphanie Butler, Crisp Co. High School Senior.
“Being noticed is kind of, it’s weighing on my heart a little bit. It’s just it’s nice to be seen. It warms my heart and it brings me so much joy seeing where my peers are at and seeing them be successful and do the great things that I know that they are capable of doing,” said Emma Culberson, Crisp Co. High School Senior.
“It was crazy seeing like all of the stuff that I’ve done over the years. Just because you think your art is about this, think that everybody else thinks that everyone is at a different level of art and everyone isn’t doing the same type of art. It was just cool to see everybody else’s way of expressing themselves through their art,” said Kimora Smith, Crisp Co. High School Senior.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Crisp Area Arts Alliance and Gallery 41 for providing a platform for these talented young individuals in our community.
