Cotton farmers giving back with socks donations

TIFTON, Ga. – In local news, the Georgia Cotton Commission is giving back to the community with its sock donations.

Traveling across Georgia, the commission has purchased and donated over 12,000 pairs of socks for those in need.

Today, they stopped in Tifton at Brother Charlie’s Thrift Store, a well-known shop that provides free clothing to the homeless.

We spoke with Taylor Sills, Executive Director of Georgia Cotton Commission and Wes Shannon, a Tifton cotton farmer who were part of this generous sock donation effort.
