Cordele Watermelon Road Race 5k and 1-Mile Fun Run sponsored by Destiny Fitness
CORDELE, Ga. – Watermelon Days are upon us, and what better way to celebrate Cordele’s sweetest tradition than with a run?
Sponsored by Destiny Fitness, the Watermelon Road Race welcomes runners, walkers, and strollers of all skill levels.
The event features a timed 5k for competitive runners and a 1-mile fun run for families and casual participants. All finishers will be treated to cool slices of juicy Georgia watermelon and refreshments at the finish line.
The top 5k runners in each age group will also take home awards. Race day is June 21st, with packet pickup on June 20th.

And… while the run kicks things off, Cordele’s 76th Annual Watermelon Days Festival peaks on June 28th. You won’t want to miss a slice of the fun! It’s seeded to be the highlight of the summer.
