Cordele Police arrest shooting suspect
CORDELE, Ga. – On Sunday, November 26th, a patrol officer in Cordele was waved down near Enmark on North 7th Street by a motorist who reported being shot.
The victim, alert and able to communicate, informed the officer that his nephew had fired the shot. Immediate first aid was administered, and the 61-year-old victim, following the altercation with his nephew, was rushed by EMS for emergency care.
Shortly thereafter, the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Lee Brown from Cordele, contacted 9-1-1, disclosing himself as the shooter and provided his location at the 400 block of West 8th Avenue.
Responding officers arrested Brown without resistance. He was processed and taken to the Crisp County Law Enforcement Center, with charges pending.
