Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce holds ribbon cutting of newest eatery Slammin Sami’s

CORDELE, Ga. – Community members of Cordele gather for the ribbon cutting ceremony of Slammin Sami’s

The Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce extends a warm welcome to downtown Cordele’s newest addition, Slammin Sami’s.

Located at the former location of Cordele Banking Company, this new eatery is set to invigorate the local scene with its specialty sandwiches.

“My friend used to have a boutique here and we moved to Cordele about two years ago. Our downtown has hardly anything. So, I felt like maybe bringing some more food to the area would be great. Just come and see us, give us a try!” said Shelby Davis, owner, Slammin Sami’s.

Owner, Shelby Davis, sheds light on the preparations and effort that went into bringing this venture to life.

“So, it took me about five months. We had to do flooring. I had to paint all the walls, decorate, and then my dad built all my tables. Getting all the equipment in here, getting them up the front stairs here was hard, so I had to have a lot of men muscle do that for me,” said Davis.

Slammin Sami’s strives to serve the Cordele community by providing a welcoming atmosphere and a diverse menu, guaranteed to satisfy hungry patrons.

Davis also shared delicious details about the specialty items awaiting customers at the newly opened eatery.

“So, the Cuban sandwich is one of the favorites that has ham, salami, and pork on it for me. Our Friday special, which is the possum roadkill, it’s chuck roast. That’s one of our biggest days. I’m up to six chuck roast now. Just come see us! Come give us a try!,” said Davis.
